Low Voltage Swing Gate Operator designed specifically for rural farm and ranch style applications. The PRO-SW1500 is designed for lighter weight gates. Unlike most GTO operators, the PROSW1500 uses a 12V automobile or marine battery (not supplied). It also has no control box, the control board is mounted in the operator housing. This versatile GTO/PRO gate operator is ideal for light tubular steel, vinyl, wood, or chain link gates. Can be powered by either a low voltage transformer or solar charger.

Add the slave unit PRO4200XL for a double swing gate. This is the new version of the discontinued PRO4000 operator. It has an enhanced motor that provides more power than the previous model. This feature provides a faster open/close speed from as low as 18 seconds. This system is capable of addressing applications. 
Add this unit to the PRO4000XL above and your system will operate a double using gate up to 40 feet wide (20ft. each leaf). Burying the power cable directly across the driveway is fine. It can be snaked through conduit also. Cable is 1/4 inch diameter with a 1 inch plug on one end only.

SL2000 without brake and SL2000B with brake
GTO Slide Gate Operator with brake. The Brake model slide gate operator has an internal braking system. It is useful if security or vandalism is an issue. The standard SL-2000 does not have a brake in it. There is no electric lock option available for this operator. The operator will hold the gate shut and one person can not force it open, however two people or a force equal or greater may be able to force it open. This would either break the chain, strip the internal gears or both. You may prevent this from happening by ordering the SL-2000B. The SL-2000B has an internal brake installed. This brake locks the gears down so that they can not be forced open. If a strong force were to try to force it open, the gears would not be stripped. Someone would have to cut and remove the chain in order to force the gate open. Simply put, it is a safety device to prevent operator damage and to further secure the gate. It is more expensive than the standard SL-2000 as you have noticed, however it may be a cheap insurance policy preventing damage.
